This workshop is free in recognition of National Recovery Month. If you are the parent, caregiver or family member of someone between the ages of 18-35 who lives with a substance disorder or mental health condition, this free workshop will provide you with helpful information.

About the Event

This two-hour workshop will provide answers to questions which can help a loved one in crisis. Participants will learn answers to the following questions and more:

Is there a connection between substance abuse and mental illness?

How do I talk to him or her?

What do I do if they're resistant to getting help?

Are there local resources available?

What is residential treatment and where do I find it?

What is Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) and will it help?

Does medication therapy help someone with a substance disorder?

What types of therapy can help?

What should I do first?

What do I do in a crisis?

Dessert and beverage will be provided.

This class is offered free of charge. Seating is limited. Registration closes when seating capacity is met.

Advance registration requested so organizers can provide the correct amount of materials.
